Passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home with her family by her side at the age of 82 years.  She was born in Wurtland, Kentucky on October 22, 1941 to George and Ruth Large.  She attended school in Wurtland and graduated in 1960.  Belva moved to Toledo, Ohio and worked at Toledo Hospital.  She married David Bolton on September 24, 1961.  They have three sons: Jeffrey David Bolton, Steven Ray Bolton, and Lawrence Ray Bolton.

David began pastoring in the Church of God of Prophecy in 1976 and Belva worked with Children's Ministry until recently.  She loved children and taught them to love Jesus.  Belva was an attendant/driver on the ISD school buses for 20 years, retiring in 2005.  Belva had the gift of hospitality and loved to serve others at her home or at church dinners.

Belva was preceded in death by her father, George Large; mother, Ruth (Adkins) Large; two brothers, Bob Large and Charles Large; and sister, Betty Fowler.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years, David Bolton; three sons, Jeffrey (Kathy), Steven (Mollie), and Larry (Melissa); and five grandchildren, Tim, Adam, Ashleigh, Scott, and Joshua.

Belva left her mark of love on everyone she knew.

According to her wishes, Belva has been cremated.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Encounter Church, 620 Robinson Road, Jackson, 49203, with Pastor Darren Huff and Bishop Tim Harper officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the Service from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM.
