Barbara Jean Rowlands (Mcauliffe)

Of Jackson, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Michael Rowlands. She is survived by one daughter Julie (Jeff) Slat, two grandsons; Jason (fiancé Jennifer) Wilcox and Michael (Paula) Wilcox. Six great grandchildren; Taylor, Riley and Cole Wilcox, Kenny, Kyle and Mackenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen McAuliffe and brother Michael McAuliffe. Barbara worked at the Jackson City Treasurers Office for many years. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Everyone always felt welcome stopping by her house to visit and always having something to eat. Barbara will be sadly missed and never forgotten, especially for her fun loving ways. According to her wishes Barbara has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Thursday at 11:00 AM with the family receiving friends at the Church from 10 to 11 AM.
