Ashlee Lindell Padgett, born September 16, 1996, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and a heart that touched everyone who knew her. For the past three years, Ashlee bravely battled Lupus—a struggle she faced with remarkable strength and resilience. Despite the challenges she endured, she continued to show love, generosity, and compassion in ways that made her truly unforgettable.

Ashlee was one of the most giving, loving, caring, and uniquely funny individuals in this world. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen, valued, and lifted up. Whether through her humor, her willingness to help anyone in need, or her gentle, comforting presence, Ashlee brought warmth and light wherever she went.

Last year, Ashlee experienced the heartbreaking loss of both her sister and her niece—losses that deeply affected her and from which her heart never fully healed. Even in her own pain, she remained devoted to her family and friends, holding onto the love she had for them with everything she had left.

Ashlee will be remembered not only for her beautiful spirit but for the fierce, selfless way she loved. Her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully capture, yet her memory will live on in every life she touched.

She is survived by her parents Jeanne (Kenneth) Olivier of Jackson, MI, and Shawn (Bethany) Padgett of Lexington, KY; her sisters Shawnee, Kenya, Aaliyah, and Kyree of Jackson, MI; her brothers Amaree and Kenneth Jr. of Jackson, MI, and Ethan of Lexington, KY; her grandparents Lee (Pamela Goodwine) Padgett of Lexington, KY and Grandma Claire Kops of Jackson, MI; the love of her life her fiancé, Rachel Smith and many friends and loved ones who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Beulah Stallings and Linda Hitt, her sister Journee Padgett, and her niece Alanee Grace.

Though her time here was far too short, the impact she made will remain forever.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ashlee's Life will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday, December 19 at 2:30 PM.  The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30 until 2:30 PM.
