Duffy, Arthur J.
passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was born on August 19, 1931 to the late Arthur J. Duffy and the late Mary Fiero-Duffy. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, a sister and grandson, Michael Thornton. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet; two sisters, Mary Lou Everett of Jackson and Sr. Jane Arthur IHM of Monroe; five sons, AJ (Monica) of Norwood, Pennsylvania, Mike (Shelly) of Hudson, Tony of Tucson, Arizona, Paul (Val) of Lake Orion, Mark (Tanya) of Brownstown, MI; three daughters, Mary, Cathy, and Sarah (Matt) Lockwood all of Jackson; 11 grand children; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Art graduated from St. John's High School in 1949. Art served in the United States Air Force from 1949 – 1953. Art retired from Die Cast Company after 37 years of service. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #9301 and was an avid sports fan, especially Lumen Christi, Tigers and U of M. Art devoted and loved his time with his family.
Mr. Duffy is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Father Tim Nelson as the celebrant.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday, September 11 from 3–8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to St. Mary's Parish or Jackson County Medical Care Facility.
