Born July 7, 1923 passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur J. Adams, Winifred Adams, and sister Elizabeth DeRose. Arthur is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie (Blair) Adams, 3 children, Dr. Paul Adams, of Fort Lauderdale, FL., John Adams (Jane), of Marietta, GA, and Susan Allan (Michael), of Jackson, MI. Also, a special daughter, Janet (Michael) Muir, of Salt Lake City, Utah. 5 Grandchildren, Sara Adams, Davis Adams, Mackenzie (Mickey) Ludlow, Charlie Ludlow, and Patrick Ludlow, and their father Ted Ludlow. He is also survived by one brother John Paul (Jack) Adams, brother in-laws Robert DeRose, and Richard (Mary) Blair, many nieces and nephews that brought him great joy.
Dr. Adams was devoted to his family, community and Country. He proudly served his country in World War II as a 2nd Lieutenant where he fought as a Navy fighter pilot. Arthur was past president of the Jackson District Dental Society, Jackson area Catholic School Board, Cascades Lions Club, Blue Horizons Investment Club and past commodore of Clark Lake Yacht Club. He was a long term member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal School Board, United Way, Jackson Country Club, and Peer Review Board of the Michigan Dental Association and member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Arthur graduated from Jackson High School, General Motors Institute, and University of Michigan Dental School. He then practiced Dentistry in Jackson for 41 years where he was devoted to the care and concerns of his patients. He was a devout Catholic with his faith showing through his actions, silently giving to others. His spirit will live on in our hearts forever. He has left us with wisdom, courage, and faith to celebrate the strength of his life.

The family would like to give special thanks to Jan Kalahar, Dave and Earlene Grzesek, Larry Griffin, Curt Chatters, and Allegiance Hospice.

Visitation for Arthur will be held on Friday February 10, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m at the Desnoyer Funeral Home with Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 11, 2012 at 10:30 at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church with burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery. Father Timothy MacDonald will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, Lumen Christi Education Fund, or Allegiance Hospice.
