of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his wife, Veregene; two sons, Arnet Judson (Nancy) Cole III and Fred G. (Brenda) Cole; three step-children, Kayleen Cagle, Richard (Charlene) Smith and Kathy Smith; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Morene Horvath; several nieces and nephews. Arnet was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy and his grandson, Charles Cole. Arnet was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater. After graduating from Michigan State University, he worked for the Y.M.C.A. in Lansing, Ann Arbor and Adrian. He then became a social worker for the State of Michigan for 21 years and devoted his life to the protection and development of young people. Arnet was a member of Optimist International and a long time member of First Congregational Church. Arnet loved trains, steam threshers and gardening. A celebration of Arnet's life will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home. According to his wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2–4 and
6–8 PM.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the First Congregational Church.
