Anna Neigebauer, age 81 passed away peacefully Sunday evening. Anna was being visited and comforted by family members and the staff at Star Manor in Northville, MI.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Elmer Neigebauer, her parents Conrad and Katherina Krankel of Almont, MI and siblings, Katherine, Frances and Richard. Anna is survived by her children Michael (Jeanine Steinway), Diane (Robert Linden), Karen (Charles Baker) and James (Karen), and six loving grandchildren (Michael, Melissa, Catherine, Evan, Garrett and Clare). She is also survived by her siblings Herman (Kay) Krankel, Rosalie (Ron) Habkirk, Josef (Jodi) Krankel, Lucy (Michael) Miller and Mary Krankel,

Anna was a long-term parishioner of St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish and enjoyed working at church functions and contributing in numerous ways to the parish. She devoted herself to her husband, family and friends and created a vibrant home life. She was a gifted seamstress, excellent cook, creative homemaker, loving spouse, and a great mom.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 29 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:30 am with Fr. Timothy Nelson officiating. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish.
