Anna Kosinski (Mierzwa)

ANNA (MIERZWA) KOSINSKI

Of Jackson passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018.  Anna was born in Windber, Pennsylvania on August 13, 1928, to Anna (Augustine) and Joseph Mierzwa.  She married the love of her life Edward J. Kosinski on July 19, 1947, and was widowed on May 23, 1980.
Anna served her country as a Navy wife for the first twelve years of their marriage, always taking great care of our home and family while Eddie was "out to sea".

Anna is survived by her daughter and longtime caregiver Sandie and her husband Terry Good, her grandchildren Heather (Allen Woodrum) Burns and Jason Good and great-grandchildren Brianna and Alec Burns. She is also survived by her daughter Linda Kosinski (Bob Tucker), son Fred (Michele) Kosinski and her daughter Michele (Richard) Andree and Michele's children Jacob, Jesse, Jared, Jeffrey, Abigail, Judah and her grandchildren.

Mom was a full-time homemaker whose favorite pastime was baking cookies, the "best apple pies in the world" and lots of other delicious "goodies". Mom loved to watch her "soaps", ice skating, "Dancing with the Stars" and the Lawrence Welk show. Anna was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Many thanks go out to her very good friend Bev Winton and special neighbor Jerry Skinner for being available when Mom needed them and to the nurses and CENAs in long-term care at RidgeCrest Health Campus who lovingly cared for Mom.  Whether we called her Mom, Grandma or Babcia, she is dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her family. Anna touched the lives of those who knew her and will be fondly remembered by them.

Per her request, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 10, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Chapel with Fr. James Shaver officiating. Her family will receive friends at the Chapel the hour preceding the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society (St. Joseph Chapter) would be appreciated.
