Braun, Ann
Passed away peacefully at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice, Jackson, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. She was 89. Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Ed) Hass of Jackson; her son Bruce (Veronica) Braun of Maui, HI; her grandchildren Jason Hass of Cincinnati, OH; Kanoe and Maika Braun, both of Maui, HI; great-grandchildren Cruz and Mahina Braun (Brenda) of Maui, HI; her sister Nancy Ordway of Elk Rapids; her nieces Suzanne Brainard and Kathy Haynes of Traverse City; Patti French-Canton (Riva) of Friday Harbor, WA; her cousin Kit (Paul) Spahr of Jackson; and extended family Jeff (Jospehine) Braun of Shelby Township; and Lynne and Mark Gamble, Jackson.
Ann was born to Forest and Harriet Yeakey in Grand Rapids in 1930. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1948 and from Stephens College, MO, in 1950. She worked at Jacobson's, a retail store, for many years; moved to Hawaii in 1976; and retired as the office manager of Kahana Reef, a condominium complex in Maui, in 1987. She returned to Jackson in 2009. Ann loved the Lord, her family, animals and had a knack for art, often giving cards and homemade gifts to friends and loved ones. She was known for her impeccable style, gracious smile, love of the Gaither Vocal Band, and fondness for ice cream and chocolate sauce. A Bible verse special to her later in life was John 14:2.
