Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Raymond and son,
Steven
. She is survived by her five children, James (Linda), Judi (David) Beaudoin, Lynne (Don) Flippo, Robert (Lisa), and Chris; 10 grandchildren; and

great-grandchildren.
Anita attended St. Joseph's Nursing School in Hancock, Michigan graduating in 1945 as a Registered Nurse. She was a long standing member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish where their children attended school. Anita retired from Foote Hospital after 10 years of service. After retirement
,
she became active in the community, volunteering at Senior Centers, taking blood pressures, delivering meals to the home bound, mentoring grade school children, volunteering for the Red Cross, and was a regular blood donor. Anita also volunteered by participating in disaster missions like going to the Los
Angeles
Earthquake, St. Croix and Louisiana Hurricanes, the Texas
immigration
camps
,
and the New Orleans flood.
In later years she belonged to a sewing group, where she made quilts that were donated to Veterans and baby quilts for Birthline.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the Church from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
