Of Jackson, passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the age of 97 years.

Preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jessie. Survived by 3 children, Berta (Marcelino) Bocanegra, Mario A. (Mary Lou) Sauceda, Anna (Les) Ricks; 9 grandchildren, Diana and Kevin Harrell, Bryon and Ginny Sauceda, Mario J. and Michelle Sauceda, Tony Bocanegra, Tracy and Matt Geoghan, Christina Bocanegra, Camille Ricks, Carley Ricks, and Chelsea Ricks; 23 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

An active longtime member of Sacred Heart Chapel. She enjoyed spending time with her family gardening, playing bingo and was a fabulous cook.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 608 S. Elm Ave., with Fr. Tim Nelson as the Celebrant.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday, March 11 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at Sacred Heart Chapel on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:00 AM.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Great Lakes Hospice.
