Brassil, Aloysius "Lou"

Went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the age of 87 years.  He is survived by his children, Cathlene (Michael) Maurer, Kevin (Kristine) Brassil and Susan (Christopher) Marshall; grandchildren, Kyle, Catherine, Emily, George, Peter, Margaret, Matthew, Liam, Helen; numerous great grandchildren; and his brother Patrick (Theresa) Brassil. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Virginia.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  Lou was born in County Clare, Ireland.  He retired from Sevens Paint and Wallpaper.  He enjoyed camping, gardening, bird watching, family time, and monthly card games.  Lou was a true Irishman and an avid story teller, who never let the truth get in the way of a good story.  He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Lou was a kind and generous man who never met a stranger and was extremely active with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Chas Canoy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the Lingap Children's Foundation or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen would be appreciated.
