Alice A. Adams, born June 19, 1931, passed away peacefully at her home on July 4, 2026, just after reaching her 95th birthday.
Alice was born in Lafayette, Indiana, to Joseph and Helena Conley, and moved to Jackson, Michigan, in 1943. She retired after more than 20 years of service as a secretary at the Protection Center. Alice was also a proud member of Queen’s Parish in Jackson.
Alice loved butterflies, traveling, spending time on the pontoon, being warm, and most of all, being with her family. Her warmth, strength, and love will be remembered by all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in imagining her reunited with those who went before her, dancing in heaven with her sisters and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helena Conley; her siblings, Rosemary Sarrine, Helen Wozniak, and John Conley; and her lifelong friends, Pat Swain, Tony Sayers (bonus son), Pauline Sayers, and Eileen O’Leary.
Alice is survived by her children, Donna (Owen) Stetler, Linda McGarvey, and Jerry Adams; her brother, Joe (Connie) Conley; her grandchildren, Robyn (Joe) Mislevy, Laura (Travis) Iott, Christina Adams-Quintero, and Tony Adams; her great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Sherman, Tevin Sherman, and Hailey Adams; many nieces and nephews; and longtime family friends, Shirley Klose, Sue Sayers, and Aileen Webster.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Cremation will follow the Funeral Mass.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
