of Jackson, went to her rest on February 21, 2017 at the age of 97, surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents, Agatha was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Symons and her brother, Alexander Kubiak, and her sisters, Theresa Miller and Adelaide Brockett and her grandchild, Jessica Hook. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan of William and Sadie Kubiak on July 07, 1919. Agatha (Babe) married Tom during WWII and she raised and is survived by their three Children: Thomas William (Cynthia) Symons and Gregory Mark (Kathleen) Symons and Sue Ann (James) Hook. She led a very active life as a loving mother and housewife as well as having had careers with the Bell Telephone Co, the VA Hospital and the Internal Revenue Service from where she retired in 1980. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling with Tom until his death in May 1983 and afterwards focused her love and affection on family. Her five surviving grandchildren are: Greg (Lisa) Symons,Jr., Rebecca Kamchatov., Jennifer Symons, Julia (Niels) Cooper and Melinda (Edin) Hook-Kurbegovic . Agatha is also survived by three great grandchildren: Ethan Kamchatov, Kiera and Kyren Cooper. She also managed her lovely home in Jackson and was proud of her ability to live alone and manage it independently well into her 98th year: until only her last 13 days of hospitalization. She was deeply loved by many for her patience, kindness, desire to please, and her gentle smile. She will be greatly missed until that day we can all be together once again.

Mrs. Symons is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 N. Blackstone, Jackson where a Prayer service will be held on Monday, February 27th at 9:30 AM followed by The Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Father Brian Lenz as the Celebrant. A luncheon will follow at the Parish Center. Internment will take place at the Chapel of Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan on Monday at 2:30 PM.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, February 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.

Those who with may make memorial contributions to St. John's Church or Lumen Christi Catholic School would be appreciated.
